Last night furious I’m A Celebrity viewers, TV stars and charity campaigners demanded Young Minds UK drop her.
It comes after she “ganged up” on the troubled radio host with soap actor Jamie Lomas.
Critics slammed her for being a “hypocrite” after she revealed her own struggles with post-natal depression and a suicide bid as a teenager.
The pair called Iain, 44, a “game player” to his face on Saturday’s show as he becomes increasingly cast aside in the Jungle camp.
“You have an ambassador who doesn’t seem to grasp what it is you help with”
An angry fan told the charity: “The fact you have an ambassador who doesn’t seem to grasp what it is you help with, while making derogatory comments and excluding a fellow contestant on this year’s I’m A Celebrity means I think you should reconsider Rebekah Vardy’s position with you.”
Another wrote: “Rebecca Vardy, who can’t understand how anxiety and depression makes someone isolate themselves… is an ambassador of the charity Young Minds. Right.”
Evicted campmates Kezia Dugdale and Shappi Khorsandi yesterday denied there had been a problem with bullying in the camp.
But Jamie, Amir Khan and Georgia Toffolo last night continued to chat about the comic’s “game playing” behind his back.
Amir said he was “playing mind games 100%” as Toff said she thought his keenness to go home was fake.
Worst Young Minds did not respond to requests for a comment although the Daily Star understands it will stick by Rebekah.
Pals insisted last night the mum-of-four is not a bully.
Linda James, founder of the Bullies Out charity, yesterday said: “Exclusion is one of the worst kinds of bullying and in a ‘closed community’ such as the Jungle environment, if this should happen, it will be very obvious and extremely hurtful to the person involved.”
An ITV spokeswoman insisted last night they had not witnessed or received any complaints of bullying from the celebs.
Rebekah is reportedly hoping to land a regular spot on Loose Women.
Yesterday one of the show’s former stars, Denise Welch, hit out at Iain’s treatment.
She tweeted: “Rebecca Vardy. Classic passive aggressive.”
Iain’s secret pain was let slip by Kezia Dugdale in her exit chat with Ant and Dec.
She told the show hosts: “He’s got a lot of stuff on his mind.”
